I offer a gentle, non-judgmental approach which can be helpful if you are feeling apprehensive about counselling. I focus on creating a different and unique type of relationship to that which you may have experienced previously, with no demands or expectations. I accept you for who you are, valuing your individuality and endeavouring to view the world as you see it.
Relationships are not just about couples. We form relationships with parents, siblings, children, friends, colleagues and wider family members.
I believe good relationships can enhance our wellbeing and provide us with a happier and more positive outlook on life.
In couple partnerships sustaining love requires that you invest thought, time and energy into your relationship.
I enjoy supporting couples who have become stuck or distanced from each other to establish better communication and a deeper emotional connectedness.
When relationships are not working it can sometimes trigger anxiety, conflict, avoidance and detachment. The more difficult things become so the fear of being left out or pushed aside increases and the levels of anxiety and negativity increase.
Feeling fulfilled as an individual is important so too is evolving independently whilst maintaining a strong connection to each other.
I work using a variety of models to offer support to explore what is not working, recognise the needs and expectations of each person and how to learn to manage your differences and improve communication.
Whether working with individuals or couples the foundations of my counselling therapy are always built using honesty, respect and empathic understanding. On our journey together, exploring your world, I may offer my insights and an opportunity to enhance your self-awareness.
